Tait appoints Chief People Officer to support future global growth

Global critical communications solutions provider Tait Communications has appointed Anita Yee as its Chief People Officer.

Ms Yee, formerly General Manager Human Resources at Dimension Data New Zealand, takes up her role on April 8.

"The Chief People Officer is a new role," says CEO Frank Owen, "and is a position we've created to build greater capability for change management, colleague engagement and talent management throughout the business. These things are just as critical to our future growth and success as any other element of our commercial strategy.

"We're delighted to have found someone of Anita's caliber who can bring it to life."

Ms Yee has 20 years' human resources experience in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, including senior leadership roles with Recall, Fujitsu, the Department of Building & Housing, and, most recently, Dimension Data New Zealand.

"I'm thrilled to be joining one of New Zealand's truly iconic companies," says Ms Yee.

"Tait already competes on a global stage, and there's a transformational journey underway to expand and extend the services and solutions we deliver to our clients. To be truly successful, this journey needs to give consideration to our employees and our culture; this is where I believe I can add my greatest value."

Ms Yee's appointment is the latest in a string of senior appointments. Late last year John Emerson came on board as Chief Information Officer, and US-based John Meyer joined the Tait Communications board.

"As our transformation into a global solutions provider continues, it's vital that we take steps to strengthen our leadership team. These appointments bring new perspectives and new skills to our business, and show our commitment to our clients, our employees and to the New Zealand economy," says Mr Owen.
