Costa Rica's largest electric utility chooses Tait P25 radios

Costa Rica's largest electric utility, Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE), has selected Tait Communications to provide genuine P25-compliant digital radios.

More than 1,800 Tait mobile and portable radios will be used primarily to support technical staff in ICE's telecommunications department, as well as power and generation staff, who rely on critical communications to install and repair electricity lines.

Headquartered in San José, ICE is a state-owned electric utility that also provides telecommunications services including fixed-line and mobile telephony, internet and data communications services throughout Costa Rica.
